We are seeking an experienced Global IT Security Senior Manager to lead and drive the cybersecurity strategy of a global retail group.

This role is responsible for protecting the organization's digital assets, retail platforms, store systems, and customer data across both e-commerce and physical retail environments. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with a solid understanding of retail operations and a strategic "secure by design" mindset.

Your role

• Define and execute the global cybersecurity strategy aligned with business objectives
• Lead security initiatives across retail environments, including:
• E-commerce platforms
• Point-of-Sale (POS) systems in stores
• Supply chain and retail operations systems
• Ensure a secure-by-design approach across all IT and digital transformation projects
• Develop and maintain global security policies, standards, and governance frameworks
• Protect and secure:
• Endpoints (corporate devices, store devices, mobile devices)
• Identities and access management systems (IAM, SSO, MFA, privileged access)
• Oversee threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, and risk mitigation
• Collaborate closely with IT infrastructure, cloud, digital, and retail operations teams
• Manage third-party security risk (vendors, SaaS platforms, payment providers)
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR and regional data protection requirements)
• Report security posture, risks, and KPIs to executive leadership

Your profile

• 5+ years of experience in IT security, including leadership responsibilities
• Proven experience securing global or multi-site retail environments
• Strong understanding of:
• Retail business processes
• E-commerce architecture
• POS systems and store networks
• Demonstrated implementation of secure-by-design principles in projects and architecture
• Hands-on experience with:
• Endpoint protection and EDR/XDR platforms
• Identity and Access Management (IAM)
• Privileged Access Management (PAM)
• Zero Trust concepts
• Experience managing security across hybrid and cloud environments
• Strong risk management and governance capabilities
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Fluent in English (Nordic language skills are a plus)
