Role Summary

We are assembling a small group of exceptional engineers to build an AI Data Asset Management platform that helps organizations manage and govern their AI/ML datasets, assets, and workflows in a single system.

The platform enables ML teams to organize training datasets, track model assets, manage evaluation workflows, and ensure AI compliance, providing the infrastructure required to scale reliable AI systems.

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will design and build high-performance user interfaces that allow ML teams to interact with complex AI pipelines and data assets through intuitive and powerful tools.

You will work closely with backend engineers to translate complex AI workflows into clear, scalable, and developer-friendly interfaces.

Core Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and implement modern frontend applications for the AI data asset management platform
  • Build high-performance, scalable interfaces for managing datasets, model assets, and ML workflows
  • Develop intuitive UI experiences for data exploration, asset governance, and workflow orchestration
  • Integrate frontend applications with backend services and REST APIs powering AI infrastructure
  • Ensure applications remain performant, accessible, and responsive across environments
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern frontend best practices
  • Participate in technical planning, architectural discussions, and sprint ceremonies
  • Collaborate with product and design teams to translate complex ML concepts into intuitive user interfaces

Additional Responsibilities

  • Investigate and resolve production issues related to UI performance or application behaviour
  • Prototype new interface concepts and workflow visualizations
  • Evaluate emerging frontend frameworks, tooling, and performance optimization techniques
  • Contribute to code reviews and engineering standards
  • Support knowledge sharing and occasionally mentor other engineers

Requirements

Must Have

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript
  • Expert-level experience with React (Hooks, Context API, component optimization, React 19)
  • Strong understanding of modern frontend architecture patterns
  • Solid experience with HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility
  • Experience integrating REST APIs into modern frontend applications
  • Familiarity with state management solutions such as Redux Toolkit or Zustand
  • Experience with modern frontend build tools (Webpack, Vite, SWC, or esbuild)
  • Understanding of Git workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and code review practices
  • Experience building scalable and maintainable UI system

Nice to Have

  • Experience building interfaces for data platforms, analytics tools, or developer products
  • Understanding of real-time frontend patterns (websockets, streaming updates)
  • Familiarity with AI/ML platforms, annotation tools, or ML operations workflows
  • Experience working with observability or monitoring dashboards
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS

What You'll Work On

You'll help build the user interface layer of an AI infrastructure platform used to:

  • Manage AI/ML training datasets
  • Track model assets and evaluation pipelines
  • Orchestrate human-in-the-loop data workflows
  • Monitor dataset quality and compliance
  • Provide governance for AI systems

Your work will directly contribute to the reliability and transparency of modern AI systems

Contract Details

  • Contract: 4 months (potential extension)
  • Location: Remote (Romania preferred)
  • Engagement: Independent contractor
