Job Description/Responsibilities
Play a foundational role in building Sazerac’s next-generation enterprise AI capability.
This role sits within the Global Business Analytics function and is responsible for designing, deploying, and scaling advanced analytics and AI solutions across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Beyond delivering models, this position will establish the technical direction, standards, and operating model for Data Science globally. The role combines hands-on AI development, cross-functional business partnership, and team-building leadership.
This is a build-and-scale position focused on embedding AI into real business workflows, not isolated experimentation.
Responsibilities
Enterprise AI & Advanced Analytics
- Design and deploy scalable AI/ML solutions across commercial and operational domains.
- Build predictive and prescriptive models (forecasting, elasticity, optimization, anomaly detection).
- Develop and integrate AI copilots and cognitive AI use cases within business workflows.
- Ensure models are production-ready, governed, and monitored.
- Leverage Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI, Microsoft Fabric, and Databricks to build enterprise-grade solutions.
- Align AI solutions with enterprise data governance and architecture.
- Contribute to model lifecycle management, performance tracking, and continuous improvement.
- Translate strategic business priorities into structured AI roadmaps.
- Partner with Global Sales Analytics and Supply Chain Analytics leaders.
- Present insights and recommendations to senior leadership in clear, business language.
- Identify high-impact opportunities for automation and optimization.
- Establish best practices for Data Science within the organization.
- Mentor and develop future data scientists.
- Contribute to hiring and structuring the Data Science capability over time.
- Promote a culture of applied innovation and business impact.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in applied Data Science, AI, or advanced analytics.
- Proven hands-on experience with: Python & SQL, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, OpenAI integrations and ML orchestration frameworks (e.g., MLflow)
- Experience building and deploying production-level ML models.
- Strong understanding of model governance, data architecture, and scalable design.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business problems into AI-driven solutions.
- Strong stakeholder communication and project management skills.
- Experience operating in fast-paced, global environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
- Master’s or PhD in Data Science, AI, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
- Experience in CPG, alcohol beverage, retail, or manufacturing.
- Experience with MLOps, model monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Prior experience leading or mentoring data science teams
