What we are looking forWe’re looking for a driven and experienced Fullstack Developer to join our growing tech team at Bokadirekt — Sweden’s leading platform for online bookings and payments within beauty and health.
In this role, you’ll be a key player in our Marketplace team. While our internal tools power the organization, you will be building the "front window" of Bokadirekt—the high-traffic platform that millions of consumers use to discover and book their next appointment. You will focus on creating seamless, high-performance user experiences that connect over 5 million monthly visitors with more than 20,000 specialists.
You’ll work closely with product owners and UX designers to translate consumer needs into robust, scalable features. As we continue to grow, you will play a vital role in ensuring our marketplace is fast, intuitive, and built for the future.
As a Fullstack Developer on this team, you’ll take ownership of the full development process — from system architecture and database design to technical implementation. You’ll spend the majority of your time working with Node.js, React, and MySQL.

As a Fullstack Developer on this team, you’ll take ownership of the full development process — from system architecture and database design to technical implementation. You’ll spend the majority of your time working with Node.js, React, and MySQL.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain our consumer-facing marketplace platforms.
- Build and optimize responsive, high-performance frontends using React.
- Design and implement scalable backend services using Node.js.
- Work with MySQL and Redis Cache to design and optimize database structures for high-traffic environments.
- Contribute to technical design and architecture decisions for the marketplace ecosystem.
- Collaborate closely with product owners, designers, and other developers.
- Continuously improve code quality, performance, and delivery processes.
- 5+ years of experience working as a fullstack developer.
- Solid experience with Node.js and React.
- Strong skills in MySQL and database development.
- Experience working with Redis Cache.
- Experience working in an agile team environment.
- A proactive mindset — you’re driven, accountable, and delivery-focused.
- Professional fluency in Swedish and English, both written and spoken.
- Has worked with Elasticsearch.
- A degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- AWS or other cloud platforms.
- CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
- Microservices architecture.
- Modern CSS frameworks and mobile-first design.
