We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Engineer Security (Accreditation) to join our team on behalf of one of our clients and support NATO operations.


Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to solution architecture activities by identifying and applying relevant NATO security directives across business, infrastructure, and functional areas
  • Provide guidance on the application and operation of physical, procedural, and technical security controls for NATO Communication and Information Systems (CIS)
  • Perform security risk assessments for communication and information systems; identify risks introduced by proposed technical architectures and recommend mitigations/countermeasures
  • Lead scoping, requirements definition, documentation, and prioritisation activities related to security accreditation, using agreed standards and appropriate elicitation techniques
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritise requirements, resolve conflicts, and support decision-making throughout the accreditation lifecycle
  • Advise NCI Agency Project and System Managers on security accreditation across the full NATO CIS lifecycle, including inputs to Project Proposals and Invitations for Bid
  • Plan, request, manage, and produce accreditation deliverables (e.g., CIS Description, Security Accreditation Plan, Security Risk Assessment Report, Security Requirement Statements, Security Operating Procedures, Security Test & Verification Plan)
  • Witness security testing in line with the Security Test & Verification Plan (STVP) and coordinate remediation plans with the relevant Security Accreditation Authority (SAA)
  • Build and sustain effective communication with Security Accreditation Boards, NATO Security Accreditation Authorities, NATO CIS Operational Authorities, and internal units supporting the accreditation process
  • Represent the Agency on security accreditation matters and stay current with relevant technology developments


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline plus 2 years of related post-degree experience; alternatively, no degree may be compensated by at least 6 years of extensive, progressive relevant experience
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in: security accreditation for major CIS acquisition/development projects in a large organization; security risk assessment methodologies and tools; planning/design/implementation of security components of major CIS
  • Knowledge of NATO Security Policy and supporting directives
  • Experience working in an international environment with both military and civilian stakeholders
  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including Allied Command Operations (ACO) and Allied Command Transformation (ACT)
  • Relevant security certifications are desirable (e.g., CISSP, CISA)
  • Ability to work onsite in The Hague, NL, with the possibility of occasionally working from home
  • Eligibility to hold (or active possession of) NATO Secret security clearance
