Position Description
This role is hybrid and requires you to be at our downtown Toronto and/or Client office at a minimum 4 days per week - subject to change at any time.
We are seeking a highly skilled Golang Developer with hands-on experience building and maintaining production-grade systems. The ideal candidate has a strong engineering mindset, excels in designing long‑term scalable solutions, and has practical experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will collaborate closely with architecture, DevOps, and backend engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing services.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Backend Development
Strong hands‑on experience in Golang development
Proven experience contributing to and maintaining production-grade Go applications
Hands‑on experience designing long-term scalable system solutions
Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, and RESTful APIs
Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and cloud-native deployment patterns
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Kubernetes (GKE)
Experience with CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.)
Knowledge of event-driven architecture and message queues
Exposure to Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Experience with monitoring tools (Stackdriver, Prometheus, Grafana)

Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $95,000–$145,000. This role is an existing vacancy."

You will collaborate closely with architecture, DevOps, and backend engineering teams to deliver robust, secure, and high-performing services.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Backend Development
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang.
- Contribute to and continuously improve an existing production Go codebase.
- Build clean, maintainable, and testable code following industry best practices.
- Develop cloud native solutions leveraging Google Cloud Platform (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud SQL, IAM, etc.).
- Work with GCP tools for deployment, monitoring, security, and automation.
- Apply design thinking principles to evaluate, plan, and implement scalable, long term system designs.
- Participate in architectural discussions to ensure services are resilient, modular, and cloud optimized.
- Contribute to performance optimization, observability improvements, and system reliability.
- Work closely with cross-functional engineering squads (DevOps, QA, product).
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture reviews.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automation enhancements, and cloud deployment processes.
