• Base Salary: $150,000 – $220,000
• Equity: 0.25% – 2.00%

About the Role

As Engineer #1, you’ll work directly with the founders to build the product from the ground up and help shape the engineering culture. This is a true founding-team role with ownership across the entire stack—from AI systems to user-facing features and core infrastructure.

You’ll wear multiple hats, move quickly, and play a defining role in shaping both the product and the company.

What You’ll Do

• Talk directly with users to deeply understand their needs and improve the product’s AI capabilities and user experience (expect ~10–20% of your time in support or customer conversations)
• Ship full-stack features end-to-end
• Build foundational platform components such as:
• Storage
• Payments
• Authentication
• Core application infrastructure
• Improve the AI runtime to better handle edge cases and increase system reliability
• Perform prompt engineering and run evaluations to improve AI output quality
• Build scalable, production-grade infrastructure capable of supporting millions of applications

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience
• Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Node.js
• Proven track record of shipping production features end-to-end
• High ownership mindset — you take features from idea to production
• Ability to move quickly while maintaining quality and strong engineering practices
• Strong product instincts and attention to UX and detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving, early-stage startup environment
