The Fountain Group is a national staffing firm, and we are currently seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist for a prominent client of ours. This position is located in Columbus, OH 43219 (On-site). Details of the position are as follows:

Job Description:

  • Pay is $44-47/hr
  • 12-month assignment with potential of extension based on performance and budget.
  • Build and maintain OT asset inventories across manufacturing environments using tools such as Armis and Splunk.
  • Conduct cybersecurity risk assessments, vulnerability analysis, and threat modeling for operational technology and network infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain risk registers, mitigation strategies, and incident response plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, IT/OT teams, and vendors to implement cybersecurity controls and secure system architectures.
  • Monitor cybersecurity threats and coordinate incident investigation, response, and recovery activities.
  • Support cybersecurity compliance initiatives aligned with frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and industrial cybersecurity standards.
  • Communicate cyber risks and mitigation plans clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Partner with QA, validation, and site leadership to ensure secure deployment and operation of manufacturing systems.
  • Monitor system upgrades, manage security exceptions, and support lifecycle planning for OT systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years of cybersecurity experience strongly preferred (may consider slightly less for exceptional candidates).
  • Manufacturing or industrial cybersecurity experience strongly preferred, particularly in operational technology environments.
  • Hands-on experience conducting cyber risk assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and influencing security decisions.
  • Experience with industrial control systems and OT environments.

Technical Experience

  • Asset inventory and monitoring tools such as Armis, Splunk, or similar platforms.
  • Security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or industrial cybersecurity standards.
  • Experience with manufacturing PLC or OT platforms such as:
  • FactoryTalk
  • Emerson DeltaV
  • Ignition
  • OSIsoft PI
  • Other industrial control systems

Certifications (Preferred)

  • GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) – highly preferred
  • CISSP, CISM, or other cybersecurity certifications
