Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to lead delivery for two related teams: Preference Management and Member Delegate within the healthcare industry. This role requires a hands-on Agile leader who can provide strong structure, drive accountability, and enable consistent delivery outcomes.
Our enterprise release & change management process is extensive. This Scrum Master will own the end-to-end release and change management execution lifecycle for both teams and guide them through governance, approvals, and delivery milestones.
Core Responsibilities
Agile Delivery & Team Leadership
- Lead all Scrum ceremonies: sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
- Provide structure that improves predictability, quality, and throughput across both teams.
- Hold team members accountable to sprint commitments and delivery goals; enforce follow-through on action items and outcomes.
- Remove blockers, manage risks, and proactively address cross-team dependencies to keep delivery on track.
- Track and report sprint health, delivery status, risks, and dependencies with clear visibility for stakeholders.
Scaled Agile (SAFe) & Dependency Management
- Demonstrate real-world experience working in Scaled Agile (SAFe) environments.
- Manage and coordinate dependencies across multiple teams, ensuring alignment of milestones, sequencing, and delivery readiness.
- Partner with Product, Engineering, QA, Release management and other delivery teams to ensure coordinated outcomes and shared accountability.
Enterprise Release Governance & Release Management
- Own and drive the full release lifecycle for both teams, including readiness checkpoints, governance requirements, execution, and post-release validation.
- Ensure all release artifacts, approvals, quality gates, and timelines are completed with discipline and consistency.
- Coordinate release planning across stakeholders and delivery partners, ensuring predictable and well-communicated releases.
- Experienced in creating, managing and executing the deployment plan which will be part of the change and release management process
Change Management (CAB / CR Ownership)
- Create and manage Change Requests (CRs) and ensure alignment to release plans.
- Present changes to the Change Advisory Board (CAB), address questions, and secure required approvals.
- Oversee execution of approved changes and ensure successful delivery of the monthly release with appropriate validation and sign-offs.
Incident Management & Operational Execution
- Coordinate incident triage and escalation for production issues impacting Preference Management and Member Delegate capabilities.
- Drive post-incident follow-up includes RCA tracking, corrective/preventative action planning, and backlog intake.
- Ensure operational readiness and continuous improvement to reduce repeat issues and increase stability.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface daily with business owners, technical teams, and executive leadership.
- Communicate across multiple disciplines within the organization to align on priorities, risks, timelines, and release readiness.
- Provide concise, executive-ready status updates and ensure stakeholders have continuous visibility into progress and decisions.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Scrum Master / Agile Delivery Lead supporting cross-functional technology teams.
- Proven experience with dependency management, release management and enterprise release governance and have strong experience owning complex Release Management processes in enterprise environments.
- Proven Change Management experience, including creating CRs, presenting to CAB, and overseeing execution through release cycles.
- Working knowledge of Incident Management processes (triage, escalation and tracking).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and follow-up skills with the ability to drive outcomes and accountability.
- Proficiency with Agile delivery tools such as version one, Jira/Confluence)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulated environments (healthcare payer/provider, insurance, financial services, etc.).
- Experience in version one Scrum board tool.
- Familiarity with identity, access management, permissions, delegate workflows, consent/opt-in management, and member communications.
- Healthcare industry experience supporting Preference Management and/or Member Delegate (or closely related member-facing access/permissions and communications domains).
