Alexander Technology Group is seeking a Network Engineer for a Boston Based Company.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable hybrid network architectures across on-prem and AWS (VPCs, security groups, routing, hybrid connectivity).
- Maintain and optimize enterprise network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls, APs) in high-availability environments.
- Troubleshoot complex production network issues with minimal disruption.
- Automate infrastructure using Terraform and related tools.
- Implement network security controls, segmentation, and firewall policies.
- Document network topology and perform analysis of existing infrastructure.
- Lead infrastructure projects and act as a client-facing networking expert.
- 5–10 years of hands-on network engineering experience with ability to work independently.
- Strong expertise in IP addressing, subnetting, VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPNs (IPSec), BGP, and OSPF.
- Experience with AWS networking (VPC design, routing, hybrid connectivity) and Terraform.
- Background managing enterprise routers, switches, firewalls, and access points in HA environments.
- Experience with Windows Server, Ubuntu Server, and packet analysis tools (Wireshark).
- Strong troubleshooting and communication skills; comfortable with second-level on-call support.
- AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty.
- Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or Grafana.
- Fortinet, Palo Alto, or Cisco firewall experience.
- VMware or Hyper-V experience (including virtualization migrations).
- Familiarity with SCADA protocols (Modbus, DNP3, OPCUA, ICCP).
- Experience in energy, critical infrastructure, or startup environments.
- Infrastructure project management experience.
Pay Scale: $110 - $130K
