- Develops software consistent with Cisco ‘Design Thinking Principles’ with a focus on simplification and UX (User Experience) at its core, using secure coding practices, ensuring user privacy, and following software development best practices. Partners with other teams including design and product management to create the right solution for the customers. Creates technical design documentation to be used by the team as well as contributing to user documentation to be used by end users. Debugs and addresses software issues during development and in production systems to support customers. Brings new ideas for product innovation and helps improve software development processes.

Responsibilities
- Clarity of Expectations: Understand clearly what is expected in your role, including technical deliverables and collaboration responsibilities.
- Use of Strengths: Leverage your UI development skills daily to contribute effectively to projects
- Developing new user-facing features using Angular.js / React.js
- Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
- Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code, UT, FT.
- Growth and Learning: Continuously challenge yourself to grow technically and professionally, including adopting new technologies and methodologies.
- Innovation: Have the space and encouragement to innovate in UI design and development, improving user experience and product quality.
- Deliver Outcomes with Quality and Urgency: Align your work with strategic goals, delivering high-quality UI components promptly.
- Collaboration and Coaching: Work collaboratively within your team and across functions, sharing knowledge and supporting peers to achieve collective success.
- Embrace Change and AI: Be open to adopting AI-driven tools and approaches that can enhance UI development and user experience.
- MS/BS in computer science or engineering
- 1 to 3 years of software UI development experience
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
- Thorough understanding of Angular.JS, React.js and its core principles
- Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux), experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token, modern front-end build pipelines and tools
- Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
- Familiarity with code versioning tools GIT.
- Thorough understanding of unit test framework like Jest and Enzyme.
- AI tools experience / proficiency is a plus
