About the Role
We are seeking an Assistant Professor in Game Design to contribute to the delivery of high-quality teaching across undergraduate (and future postgraduate) Game Design programmes at the India campus.
Responsibilities
- Deliver lectures, seminars and workshops in Game Design across technical, artistic and creative domains
- Contribute to curriculum development, assessment and academic administration
- Supervise undergraduate dissertations and student projects
- Engage in research, publications and collaborations with the Liverpool home campus
- Build industry engagement and interdisciplinary collaborations
Qualifications
- PhD (or near completion) in Game Design, Game Development, Computer Science or a related discipline
Required Skills
- Experience teaching games, audiovisual media or related fields in higher education
- Proficiency in game engines (Unity, Unreal) and 3D modelling tools (Blender, Maya)
- Programming experience relevant to Game Design and Computer Science
- Understanding of game theory, UX/UI, visual and spatial design
- Knowledge of audio production, digital audio workstations (e.g., Logic Pro, Ableton) and music composition for games
- Ability to contribute to research and academic scholarship
