About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior iOS Developer to join a large-scale, digitally driven organization based in Leicester. This is a permanent position designed for a technically proficient professional who can lead the development of customer-facing mobile applications. Experience with RESTful API integration, backend connectivity, and complex deeplinking solutions is highly desirable. Candidates should have practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Azure DevOps, and a solid foundation in unit and UI testing using tools like XCUITest and Swift Testing. Proven experience working within Agile and Scrum methodologies is essential, along with strong troubleshooting, optimization, and performance tuning skills. Additional experience with accessibility, multi-language applications, and adaptive interfaces will be considered advantageous.
Responsibilities
The Senior iOS Developer will be responsible for establishing and influencing the architectural foundations of performant iOS applications, ensuring scalable and maintainable codebases. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing new features across white-label iOS apps using Swift and SwiftUI, building adaptive interfaces for phones and tablets, and ensuring seamless performance across devices. Mentoring one to two iOS development squads, providing technical leadership, guidance, and best practices, will be a core aspect of the role. The developer will collaborate closely with Product Owners, UX designers, and marketing teams to refine requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and continuously improving the existing iOS app offerings, managing deployments, and overseeing Azure DevOps build pipelines. The developer will also work on integrating RESTful APIs, backend services, and complex deeplinking solutions, ensuring robust connectivity and user experience.
