DevOps Engineer
North West (Hybrid)
£55,000 – £65,000
We’re hiring a DevOps Engineer to join a growing, technology-focused business in the North West. You’ll be part of a small DevOps team responsible for building and improving a modern AWS cloud platform that supports the company’s customer facing web-based products and services.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to AWS infrastructure design, automation, and deployment processes while helping shape the future direction of the platform.
You will be working in a cloud first environment, for a company investing the technology, implementing modern working practices and who value training and staff development.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain infrastructure within AWS
- Manage infrastructure using Terraform or similar tools
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Gitlab would be ideal)
- Implement and improve monitoring and observability (both tooling and setting metrics and alerts)
- Automate operational processes using scripting (Python, or Bash preferential)
- Collaborate with development teams to improve reliability and delivery
Skills & Experience
- Experience working with AWS
- Experience with Kubernetes or EKS
- Knowledge of Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code tools
- Experience building or maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools
- Scripting experience (e.g. Python or Bash)
