Azooa is currently responding to a Request for Quote (RFQ) issued by the Department of the Treasury and we are seeking experienced Senior Software Engineers / Web Developers who want to contribute to high-impact Federal Government digital platforms.
This role will support the development, deployment and management of campaign and informational websites delivered within a GIT-managed static website environment hosted in Microsoft Azure.

The Senior Software Engineer (Developer) will contribute to the delivery and ongoing management of government campaign and informational websites, ensuring they meet accessibility standards, performance expectations and digital service compliance requirements.
Working within a GIT-based development workflow, you will collaborate with designers, content specialists and technical teams to deliver secure, accessible and scalable web platforms aligned with Australian Government digital standards.
š§ Key Responsibilities
š Website Development
⢠Develop, configure and maintain static websites within a GIT-managed repository
⢠Deliver end-to-end website development, including configuration, publishing and maintenance
⢠Build modern responsive websites aligned with approved UI designs
⢠Implement custom components, calculators and interactive web features
⢠Maintain consistent front-end UI components and reusable design elements
⢠Ensure websites comply with Australian Government accessibility and usability standards
š Content Publishing & Website Management
⢠Publish and manage website content aligned with the Australian Government Style Manual
⢠Maintain website structure, navigation and information architecture
⢠Coordinate content updates with content owners and stakeholders
⢠Manage version control and publishing workflows
⢠Align publishing schedules with campaign timelines and communication priorities
š Digital Asset Management
Manage and optimise digital content assets including:
⢠š Word and PDF documents (metadata removal and optimisation)
⢠š¼ Images and graphics optimised for web performance
⢠š„ Video content, including player configuration and captions
⢠š Audio content, including accessibility transcripts
⢠šØ Reusable graphic libraries, icons and digital assets
š Multilingual Website Support
⢠Import translated HTML pages into the website architecture
⢠Maintain multi-language versions of campaign websites
⢠Ensure consistency across translated content and assets
āæ Accessibility, Compliance & Standards
⢠Apply the Australian Government Digital Service Standard
⢠Ensure compliance with WCAG accessibility guidelines
⢠Promote best practices in digital publishing and usability
⢠Support continuous improvement of website delivery frameworks
š§ Required Technical Skills
Applicants should demonstrate strong experience with:
