- Strong stakeholder exposure, partnering with business leaders to design and optimise governance and self‑service Power BI reporting solutions that drive transparency and accountability.
- Permanent role based at our Mascot Campus
The Data Analyst, Data Reporting & Insights plays a key role in enabling data‑driven decision‑making across the Customer Care & Recovery business. You will deliver high‑quality performance insights through the development and management of Power BI reporting, ensuring strong data quality, governance and transparency. A core focus of the role is tracking key performance indicators across disruption initiatives and Qantas’ Global Contact Centre operations to measure outcomes and support operational and strategic decisions.
Partnering closely with business stakeholders, you will optimise governance reporting and self‑service BI solutions by translating business requirements into effective, scalable reporting products. You will support data integration and solution design, oversee the rollout of new reporting capabilities, and manage a continuous improvement pipeline to ensure analytics solutions evolve in line with regulatory requirements and changing business needs.
You’ll have –
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a data management, data analyst or systems analyst role
- Tertiary qualification in Aviation Management, Statistics, Computing, Data, or a related field (e.g. Data Science, Economics)
- Strong proficiency in business intelligence tools, including Power BI (DAX, Power Query); experience with Tableau or Qlik desirable
- Advanced SQL capability, with proven experience querying and manipulating large datasets
- Demonstrated ability to gather, analyse and translate business requirements into effective data and reporting solutions
- Proven ability to work independently, delivering outcomes in a fast‑paced and changing environment
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate data into meaningful business insights
- High level of adaptability and flexibility to respond to evolving business and reporting requirements
