The team are tasked with developing the "fun stuff", ultimately taking a product first approach to developing the trading applications. Although there is a near shore team, the team in Zurich are responsible for decided the technology stack, designing the applications and developing them to replace what was a very vendor system heavy environment.

The core stack consists of a React front end, Java or Python backend, Mongo and Postgres for database and the applications are deployed on a Kubernetes cluster. Your specific programming language experience is not as important as your general approach to software development, the team are strong advocates for test driven development and alongside this are arguably leaps ahead of other organisations in terms of their investment in AI for coding assistance. So you will get the opportunity to build exciting greenfield trading applications, directly impact business users and also use AI professionally.

As it is an international environment, English is the working language, however as it is business facing, it is 100% office based - but thankfully, the office is very much centrally located.
