We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Developer (m/f/d) to strengthen our development team. In this role, you thrive on creating reliable, efficient, and safety-critical software. You bring architectural know-how, contributing ideas and recommendations to system and software design discussions. While you focus on hands-on development, your input helps guide the technical direction of the platform.


Your tasks:

  • Design, implement, and optimize embedded software in C for resource-constrained and safety-critical systems
  • Develop performance-critical components on TI Sitara™ (AM2x/AM6x) platforms, leveraging ARM Cortex-A and Cortex-R cores efficiently
  • Work with the TI Processor SDK, including driver integration, boot flows, and system configuration
  • Implement and maintain EtherCAT communication; contribute to FSoE features where required
  • Develop auxiliary/control functionalities on STM32 microcontrollers
  • Provide architecture-informed recommendations during design discussions and code reviews
  • Ensure software complies with IEC 61508 / ISO 13849, including proper documentation and traceability
  • Participate in code reviews, problem-solving sessions, and collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Support technical discussions with internal and customer engineering teams


Your profile:

  • Expert in Embedded C programming
  • Experienced with TI Sitara and TI Processor SDK
  • Strong EtherCAT knowledge; FSoE a plus
  • Hands-on, quality-driven, and self-motivated
  • Able to apply architectural thinking
  • Fluent in English (German a plus)
  • Team player who enjoys solving complex challenges
  • Willingness to travel

According to the Austrian IT collective agreement, the minimum gross monthly salary for this position is € 3.843,- (38.5 hours/week). The actual salary will be determined based on market standards and depends on qualifications and professional experience. Overpayment is possible depending on skills and background.
