As a Product Designer, you will direct product vision, work directly with developers, and craft the visual look of our product to create a universally loved experience across software, online and offline customer touchpoints, and hardware. Flexible start date in April/May.

A design problem worth solving

Software and hardware. Our product is a physical, bioengineered device that lives in hotel rooms around the world. You'll be working with the full journey, from unboxing and on-site setup to the daily digital experience, making sure every logistics touchpoint feels as smooth as the software itself.

A science-based problem. Bed bug prevention is a serious, science-backed challenge. You'll dive deep into the biology behind the problem and the psychology of our users so every design decision reflects how the product works in the field and how people really feel and behave.

Cutting-edge technology. IoT mesh networks, connected hardware, AI-powered detection and intelligence applications. You'll work across all of it, and your designs will make it intuitive.

A category-creating brand. Valpas is defining a new attribute for travelers and travel buyers. You'll shape a brand-driven product experience for what safe, sustainable hospitality looks like.

You are probably a good candidate if you:

• Are enthusiastic about our purpose and product
• Have experience working for a small company or start-up
• Worked in a product team, alongside multiple engineers
• Are flexible in how you work. You adapt your process to each project rather than following a rigid formula
• Are a strong generalist who can flex between design, product thinking, and technical implementation
• Can spot potential in half-formed prototypes and help shape them into something that clicks
• Build trust through speed. You'd rather ship scrappy, learn from users, and iterate daily than wait for the perfect mock
• Enjoy pairing with engineers and giving live feedback as much as you enjoy working in Figma
• Can hold two things at once: psychological safety with your teammates and genuinely high standards for the work
