The Mater Private Network, a leader in Irish private healthcare, is seeking a Full Stack Developer to join the IT team.

This is a permanent, full-time position.

Purpose of post:

The Full Stack Developer will contribute to the design, development, and support of secure, scalable digital applications across clinical and patient-facing healthcare systems.

This role is ideal for a developer with strong core engineering foundations who is eager to grow their full stack skills in a complex, regulated environment. Working closely with senior engineers, product teams, and UX designers, the successful candidate will help deliver high-quality, user-centred digital solutions, while developing their technical and professional capabilities.

Skills & Qualifications:

Essential

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
2–4 years professional software development experience.
Practical experience in:
Frontend: React, Angular, or Vue; modern JavaScript/TypeScript
Backend: Node.js, Java (Spring Boot), .NET, or Python
API Development: RESTful services
Databases: PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, or MongoDB
Version Control: Git
Experience contributing to production-grade applications in a team environment.

Desirable Experience

Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
Familiarity with container technologies (Docker).
Experience in regulated or enterprise environments.
Awareness of healthcare systems, interoperability, or clinical workflows.

Salary range: €50,000 to €60,000 depending on experience.
