Role Description

As a Frontend Engineer at Chrono Health, you will help build the core web experience of our AI-powered health companion. This is a unique opportunity for a product-minded, entrepreneurial engineer to build at the intersection of healthcare, software, and intelligent design, crafting interfaces that make complex health data feel human, intuitive, and actionable.

We are adopting a vibe engineering approach: leveraging AI and AI-assisted development tools as creative partners in the engineering process. You’ll lead prompt-driven workflows, AI-accelerated prototyping, and intelligent automation to deliver fast, beautiful, and scalable web applications. This role isn’t about writing every line of code by hand, it’s about combining technical excellence, creative direction, and AI-augmented development to move with both speed and precision.

You’ll collaborate closely with the product, design, and backend teams to architect and deliver a frontend platform that empowers people with chronic conditions to understand their health, stay engaged, and take meaningful action every day. 

What will you do?

• Contribute to the development of our web application with a focus on responsive, high-quality UI, leveraging AI-assisted tools to move fast without sacrificing craft
• Implement features in collaboration with product managers, designers, and backend engineers, using AI-accelerated workflows to shorten the loop between idea and working product
• Use design-to-code tools (such as Figma-to-code pipelines) to translate designs into production-ready components with speed and fidelity
• Build and maintain reusable frontend components and services integrated with backend APIs, with AI pair-programming tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude, etc.) as a core part of your daily workflow
• Integrate and orchestrate AI coding agents for tasks like automated code review, test generation, refactoring, and documentation, treating them as genuine teammates, not just shortcuts
• Stay current with the fast-moving AI tooling ecosystem and proactively introduce tools and workflows that raise the team's velocity and output quality
• Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and performance optimization, knowing when to trust AI output and when to override it
• Help shape frontend architecture for scalability, maintainability, and performance

• Communicate effectively in spoken and written English 

What makes you a great fit?

• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
• Experience: 5+ years in software development, with strong frontend focus
• Expertise: Proficiency in React.js, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript (ES6+);
• AI-augmented development: Hands-on experience with AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, Copilot, Claude Code, etc.) as a core part of your workflow, used for prototyping, refactoring, review, and test generation
• UX-first mindset: Proven ability to build responsive, high-quality user experiences
• API integration: Solid experience working with REST
• Execution excellence: Strong debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills
• Team-ready: Experience with Git/GitHub and collaborative development best practices
• Tooling: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and testing tools (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library)
• Security-aware: Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OAuth, JWT)
• Bonus: Some Experience or strong interest with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
