At Tata Technologies we make product development dreams a reality by designing, engineering and validating the products of tomorrow for the world’s leading manufacturers. Due to our continued growth, we are now recruiting for a Test Automation Specialist to join our team in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The role
We are looking for a skilled Software Engineer with strong expertise in Test Automation to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the quality and reliability of software deliverables through advanced automated testing solutions. As part of our cross-functional agile team, you will help secure the design, implementation, testing, and maintenance of features—leveraging automated test frameworks wherever possible. You will join the Connectivity team, responsible for onboard (“In-Car”) software in the clients Telematics units and Infotainment head units.
Responsibilities
• Be an active member of a cross-functional agile scrum team
• Develop automated test cases within existing frameworks in a Linux (Ubuntu) environment
• Supervise and monitor execution of test suites and cases daily
• Participate in agile ceremonies: stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and team health checks
• Perform frequent software updates on test rigs
• Conduct manual testing in rigs and test cars
• Report progress and status regularly in JIRA
Required Qualifications
• Master’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
• Proven experience in automated test development and frameworks
• Strong Linux skills and familiarity with Linux toolchain (bash, git, Gerrit, Jenkins)
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken)
• Swedish driver’s license (B) – mandatory for in-car testing
Meritorious Skills
• C++ and Python (PyTest)
• Embedded software development
• Robot Framework
• Agile software development experience
• Swedish language proficiency
• Knowledge of Android frameworks and test suites (e.g., xTS)
