Role - Android Developer (AOSP / Embedded Android)
Location - Gothenburg, Sweden
Engagement: Full‑time
About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Android Developer (AOSP / Embedded Android) to join our engineering team. In this role, you will work on next‑generation embedded Android systems, contributing to platform development, feature enhancements, hardware integration, and performance optimization.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance Android features within AOSP and Embedded Android environments
- Work on Android Framework, system services, HAL layers, and build systems
- Integrate hardware modules using AIDL, HAL, and C/C++ (for relevant profiles)
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to build stable and scalable Android platforms
- Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Git, Gerrit, Jenkins
- Optimize system performance, memory footprint, and startup time
- Write unit tests, integration tests, and ensure high code quality
- Debug system issues across framework, middleware, and hardware layers
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or related field
- Strong experience in Java/Kotlin development
- Solid understanding of Android Framework, system internals, and build tools
- Experience working in embedded Linux environments
- Hands‑on experience with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins
- Strong knowledge of Gradle and Soong build systems
- Ability to write and maintain unit & integration tests
Nice to Have
- Swedish B‑level driver’s license (preferred for in‑vehicle testing roles)
For Bluetooth Developers
- Hands‑on Bluetooth stack development experience
- Strong understanding of AIDL, Android HAL, and C/C++ integrations
For HMI Developers
- Prior experience in HMI development
- Hands‑on experience with AOSP is a strong advantage
