Kongsberg Maritime is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to help shape K-Sim Connect, our next-generation cloud-based simulation platform. This role is ideal for developers passionate about scalable cloud solutions, full-stack development, and modern web technologies, who want their work to empower maritime education and training worldwide.
Your Responsibilities
• Build full-stack solutions (front-end and back-end) for simulation services and user portals.
• Ensure high availability, security, and performance leveraging Microsoft Azure.
• Integrate simulation services with subscription management, authentication, and data analytics.
• Collaborate with UX designers, simulation experts, and product managers to deliver intuitive user experiences.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for rapid, reliable deployments.
• Contribute to API design for interoperability with other K-Sim products and thirdparty systems.
Required Skills
• Strong experience in full-stack development (Frontend: React/Angular/Vue, Backend: .NET)
• Proven experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also relevant).
• Knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
• Solid understanding of security best practices for cloud applications.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
Nice to Have
• Knowledge of maritime training standards or simulation technologies.
• Familiarity with data analytics and telemetry pipelines.
