Front-End Developer

Location: London

Working Pattern: Full-time (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC and DV Clearance

Salary: £52,000 - £72,000

The Role

As a Front-End Developer, you will:

• Design, build and maintain modern, high-performance web applications
• Work within autonomous DevOps teams delivering secure, scalable solutions
• Collaborate closely with end users, UX designers and product teams
• Contribute across the full software delivery lifecycle
• Define and shape front-end architecture and technology choices
• Apply secure coding standards and best practices
• Implement automated testing with a “shift-left” mindset
• Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines
• Contribute creative, innovative solutions to complex challenges

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong knowledge of vanilla JavaScript and modern ECMAScript standards
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and front-end architecture design
• Deep understanding of the DOM, CSS, accessibility (ARIA) and form validation
• Experience with bundlers such as Webpack or Rollup
• Practical experience with Node.js and API integration
• Knowledge of Jest, Jasmine or similar testing frameworks
• Experience with Git and branching strategies
• Understanding of Agile delivery and CI/CD best practices
• Strong grounding in Computer Science fundamentals (OOP, data structures, design patterns)
• Experience applying secure coding principles

Desirable

• 3+ years’ front-end development experience
• TypeScript experience
• Responsive/mobile-first development
• Automation testing tools such as Cypress, Selenium or Playwright
• Exposure to backend development concepts
