We're working with an elite digital forensics and blockchain investigations firm on this exciting opportunity.
Step into the high-stakes world of cybercrime investigation where you will hunt for illicit activity across the dark web and trace complex blockchain movements. This isn't your average internship; you'll be deploying Python scripts and SQL queries to solve real-world technical puzzles for top-tier law enforcement and global corporations.
The Role
• Tackle technically challenging cybersecurity and cryptocurrency investigations using OSINT techniques and blockchain tracing tools.
• Develop and document custom tools in Python to automate the collection and classification of complex investigative data.
• Conduct deep-dive analysis into network traffic, analyzing requests/responses to identify malicious activity.
• Support the investigative team by synthesizing fragmented data from disparate sources into actionable intelligence reports.
• Contribute to R&D efforts aimed at identifying emerging trends in the crypto ecosystem and darknet markets.
What You'll Need
• Currently enrolled as a rising Senior or Graduate student in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience using Python for data manipulation or investigative automation.
• Strong understanding of Blockchain technology, including transaction tracing and the internal workings of exchanges.
• Literacy in computer networking and system administration, with hands-on experience using Virtual Machines (VMs).
• Proficiency in SQL for synthesizing large data sets and a high degree of critical thinking for solving non-linear problems.
