🛠 What You’ll Get Your Hands On

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend and cloud infrastructure powering Snoonu’s Robotics-as-a-Service (RaaS) platform, enabling real-time fleet monitoring, orchestration, and autonomous logistics operations.
  • Build scalable backend services and APIs that integrate robots, drones, and human courier fleets under a unified orchestration layer.
  • Develop real-time telemetry ingestion pipelines to collect, process, and store high-frequency sensor and fleet data (location, status, battery, system health, mission progress).
  • Support edge–cloud integration by enabling low-latency communication between robots/drones and cloud services for mission planning, tracking, and control.
  • Collaborate with AI and autonomy teams to integrate optimization engines, predictive routing models, and decision-making components into production services.
  • Enable simulation and validation workflows by supporting digital twin environments, experiment logging, scenario replay, and benchmarking tools.
  • Implement secure data access and governance practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, and role-based access control to protect operational and customer data.
  • Ensure reliability and operational readiness through monitoring, alerting, logging, incident response support, and performance optimization across critical services.
  • Support system integration activities and pilot deployments by providing rapid troubleshooting, debugging, and backend improvements during real-world testing.
  • Document system architecture, API contracts, integration patterns, and operational procedures to support R&D reporting, maintainability, and long-term platform scalability.

🧙‍♂️ The Magic You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of backend development experience, with strong hands-on Python/C# expertise.
  • Strong ownership and accountability with the ability to work independently on complex backend systems.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams (AI/ML, robotics, embedded, QA, operations).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, especially in debugging production-like issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and document decisions, trade-offs, and system designs.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving R&D environments where requirements evolve through experimentation and pilot feedback.
  • High ownership and accountability for results, timelines, and engineering quality.
  • Strong business context understanding, able to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
  • Open to feedback and proactive in applying improvements suggested by senior engineers or tech leads.

Core Backend & Python

  • Strong foundation in Python, including OOP principles, design patterns, and writing clean, maintainable code.
  • Experience building backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django.
  • Ability to design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs with proper error handling and logging.

AWS & Cloud

  • Experience using AWS services, such as Lambda, SQS/SNS, API Gateway, Step Functions, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, and CloudWatch.
  • Experience designing event-driven and serverless architectures.
  • Familiarity with IAM, environment configuration, and cloud security best practices.

RaaS Platforms focus

  • Strong backend development experience, including designing APIs and building scalable services.
  • Experience with modern backend frameworks and microservice architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of databases (SQL and/or NoSQL), including data modeling and performance optimization.
  • Experience with real-time data streaming / messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis streams, or similar).
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, deployment automation).
  • Experience with Kubernetes / Docker and cloud-native patterns is a strong advantage.
  • Good understanding of system observability tools including logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting.
  • Experience with IoT systems, telemetry pipelines, robotics platforms, or edge devices is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals and secure API design is an advantage.
