About the opportunity:

• Please prioritize senior-level Data/MLOps Engineers with strong coding ability and clear communication. Candidates must be able to clearly explain their approach, design decisions, trade offs, and alternatives, and articulate end-to-end MLOps architecture. Candidates with average coding skills or limited ability to communicate ideas will not be considered.

Data Engineer (MLOps Focus)Team & Scope

• The team owns the entire data pipeline, from ingestion to downstream consumption.
• Data Engineering and MLOps responsibilities are combined, and the team supports multiple projects simultaneously.
• This is primarily a Data Engineering role, with strong exposure to MLOps and ML integration.

Technical Focus

• The team writes significantly less SQL compared to a typical Data Engineering team.
• There is a large Business Analyst team responsible for providing raw data and writing most of the SQL.
• Candidates must be comfortable with SQL, but in day to day work, SQL usage is limited.
• Strong programming and system design skills are critical, similar to a traditional Software Engineering role.
• Python is the main programming language, but strong experience in Java or Scala is also acceptable.
• The ideal profile is a generalist, not a specialist.
• Key expectations include:
• Writing production grade code
• Designing scalable systems
• Orchestrating end to end data and ML pipelines
• Integrating ML models into broader systems
• SQL is considered an additional skill, not the core focus.
