We’re looking for a detail-oriented, holistic-thinking Product Designer. You’ll own end-to-end design across discovery, ideation, and delivery, partnering closely with product managers and engineers to bring clarity and craft to complex problems. You’ll be part of a small growing design team with lots of autonomy and ownership.

Our self-hosted Cloud Development Environment (CDE) is the foundation for deploying agentic AI in the enterprise. It provides a secure, standardized, and governed workspace to deploy autonomous coding agents alongside human developers, accelerating innovation while maintaining control and compliance. Coder's isolated, policy-driven environments improve productivity, cut cloud costs, and reduce data risks. Developers transition to AI at their own pace using their own tools. Platform and security teams can govern, audit, and manage a great developer experience at scale.
Interview process
We believe that the interview process should be transparent, consistent, and enjoyable. We value your time and hope to complete the interview process in two to four weeks, if schedules allow. Through your interviews, you will meet a mix of individual contributors, managers, and leadership.

What You’ll Do Here
- Evolve and extend our design system to support new patterns, improve consistency, and increase design and engineering velocity
- Partner with product managers and engineers to uncover unmet customer needs and turn insights into impactful solutions
- Create user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs in Figma that balance usability, scalability, and visual craft
- Identify opportunities to redesign or refine key screens (e.g. onboarding flow), as well as smaller quality issues
- Take part in defining how humans and AI collaborate in developer tooling
- 3+ years of product design experience working on complex, technical, or B2B products
- Experience in building or scaling a design system in collaboration with engineering
- Insight-driven and seeking to deeply understand customer needs
- Proactive and independent, with strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Strong systems thinking, considering long-term scalability and technical feasibility
- Excited about AI and eager to apply emerging technologies to enhance design workflows

- Experience designing developer tools, IDEs, or code‑centric workflows
- Familiarity with GitHub, VS Code, or JetBrains and coding concepts
