Help us shape the end to end developer experience in RCE/ESE. RCE DXI (Developer Experience & Innovation)

We’re looking for a hands on UX leader who blends deep research craft with thoughtful interaction design, and who enjoys building great interfaces as much as understanding the people who use them.

About The Role

  • You’ll lead discovery to understand user needs, accessibility requirements, and jobs to be done;
  • Translate insights into intuitive, inclusive interaction patterns;
  • You’ll use research, testing, and metrics to guide decisions—designing experiments, instrumenting journeys, and iterating based on evidence.
  • You’ll collaborate widely, mentor teammates, and champion user advocacy.
  • A key part of your impact will be building UX competencies and networks across DXI and the wider organisation, strengthening the practice and raising the bar as RCE embarks on a high profile Transformation Program, across Platform Engineering and Scaling AI.

What You’ll Do

  • Plan and run user research, usability tests, and discovery workshops in support of studies.
  • Design flows, IA, and interaction patterns with accessibility at the core.
  • Build production ready interfaces that are fast, responsive, and reliable.
  • Define success metrics, analyse behaviour, and iterate with data.
  • Facilitate collaboration across engineering, product, and AI platform teams; mentor others and nurture a strong UX community.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong UX experience: user research, usability, accessibility, and interaction design.
  • Excellent front end skills (responsive, performant UI; attention to detail).
  • Data driven mindset: comfortable with experimentation and measurement.
  • Clear communication and leadership: inclusive collaboration, mentoring, and user advocacy.
  • Ability to grow UX capabilities and networks across teams and functions.

Why join

There’s great scope for growth: you’ll help define standards, lead initiatives, and shape the future of a growing UX capability within RCE Production Programs. You’ll have supportive collaborators, room to experiment, and the opportunity to make a visible impact on state of the art products used by engineers every day.
