PHD
Are you passionate about the intersection of Quantum Computing and Artificial Intelligence?
The QMLTN group at UL FRI is seeking a PhD student to join our mission to bridge the gap between classical tensor methods and next-generation quantum hardware. This is a chance to work at the absolute frontier of quantum computational science.
Focus Areas:We are looking for candidates interested in one of the following tracks:
🔹 Quantum Track: VQE, Adiabatic Algorithms, Quantum Error Correction, Reservoir Computing, and Neural Quantum States. 🔹 Tensor Networks Track: Tensor Cross Approximation, Variational Optimization, and applying TN architectures to NLP. 🔹 Machine Learning Track: effective description of quantum systems (SINDY, Koopman), physics-informed machine learning
Why apply?✅ Work on high-impact projects (including the KTTK21 consortium). ✅ Access to cutting-edge quantum software and HPC resources. ✅ Join a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment at the leading edge of Quantum Algorithm Development.
Whom are we looking for?- A Master’s degree in Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics.
- Strong coding skills (Python, PyTorch, Qiskit, JAX, or similar).
- A deep curiosity for many-body quantum systems and algorithmic optimization.
