We are seeking a talented individual to join our MMB Analytics team at Mercer, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Cluj Napoca. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The MMB Analytics and Digital team is seeking a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team. This role requires a creative and strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with senior leaders, product owners, and developers to design exceptional web and analytics products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing intuitive, user-centered web and analytics interfaces and possess excellent English communication skills.

We will count on you to:

  • Collaborate closely with senior leader to understand and translate their vision into compelling designs.
  • Work with product owners to scope and develop meaningful, user-friendly design templates that align with business goals
  • Partner with developers to ensure effective implementation and delivery of design solutions
  • Design and iterate on web and analytics product interfaces that enhance user experience and engagement
  • Conduct user research and usability testing to inform design decisions and improve product functionality
  • Maintain consistency in design standards and ensure accessibility and usability across platforms
  • Generating user flows and personas to support product design and understanding
  • Providing analysis on usage statistics to inform future design decisions
  • Communicate design concepts clearly and effectively to non-technical and technical stakeholders
  • Experience with advanced UX design for analytics-heavy products
  • Data-rich UI design: designing dashboards and analytics interfaces that clearly present time-series, cohort analyses, utilization, spend, and risk indicators without overwhelming users
  • Data storytelling: guiding executives and non-technical stakeholders through insights with clear narratives, annotations, and context around metrics
  • Information architecture for analytics: structuring complex data sets into intuitive navigation, filtering, drill-downs, and multi-dimensional search

What you need to have: 

  • minimum 5 years experience in UI/UX design, specifically for web and analytics products
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in user-centric design, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal, to articulate design ideas and collaborate effectively
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working and communicating with non-technical business users in English
  • Ability to maintain discretion and deal appropriately with confidential information

What makes you stand out?

  • Understanding of front-end development processes and technologies (particularly React)
  • Experience using Pendo or other product experience and tracking platforms
  • Domain knowledge and product context
    • Employee benefits domain fluency: enrollment workflows, claims visibility, eligibility rules, plan design terminology, open enrollment, carrier integrations, and benefits communications.
    • Familiarity with benefit management and engagement apps: in-app benefits support, member self-service flows, provider search and network details, and benefits education touchpoints.
    • Insurance industry acumen: regulatory considerations, data privacy implications, and industry-specific UX patterns (e.g., benefit summaries, out-of-pocket calculators, claim status dashboards).
  • Global product considerations: multi-market design, localization of content, date/number formats, and accessibility across languages and regions.
