At STRATEC we develop and manufacture world class lab robotic analyzers for the In Vitro Diagnostics and Life Science sectors with direct applicability in molecular biology, clinical chemistry and hematology. Our partners, global blue chip biotech companies collaborate with us from the initial project idea to the final product that is ready for laboratories, hospitals and research centers.

Our multidisciplinary engineering team designs and tests the mechanical hardware, electronics, firmware, software of next-generation medical instruments.

We are looking for a Data Solution Architect to join our team.

As a Data Solution Architect at STRATEC, you help our business teams turn data into better everyday decisions. You shape our data landscape from the ground up and create measurable business value with practical, iterative solutions.

You work closely with our SAP Data Team (SAP BW/4HANA, S/4HANA, SAP Analytics Cloud) and extend our setup with modern cloud technologies such as SAP BTP, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric.

Your role

• Act as a key partner to business units for data, KPIs, and reporting
• Co-create and document business requirements with business stakeholders
• Define and govern company-wide KPIs (“one version of the truth”)
• Design data models (relational / dimensional, SQL) and solution concepts combining SAP and non-SAP data
• Collaborate with our SAP Data Team in Romania to integrate use cases into BW/4HANA and SAC and to build a business-friendly semantic layer (incl. systems like PTC Windchill)
• Help shape the target Data and Analytics architecture extending our current capabilities
• Be hands-on: prototype and validate data models, data pipelines, reports, and dashboards
• Contribute to data governance (ownership, quality, processes) and maintain a delivery roadmap for key use cases

What you bring

• Several years’ experience in Data and Analytics (e.g. Data Analyst, BI Consultant, Data Engineer, Data Architect)
• Strong knowledge of:
• Data modeling (relational and dimensional), confident in SQL
• Reporting and analytics (KPIs, metric systems, self-service BI)
• Data governance (data quality, ownership, single source of truth)
• Experience with at least one analytics ecosystem, ideally SAP BW/4HANA, Databricks, or Microsoft Fabric
• Bonus: experience with cloud data platforms (especially Azure) and direct collaboration with business stakeholders
