Rallyware was founded at MIT in 2012 and is a graduate of Techstars Boston. The company is headquartered in Mountain View, CA, with the team distributed across the United States, Canada, Ukraine, Great Britain, Australia, Peru, and Argentina. We are a team of high-performing, responsible, and sociable people who enjoy being in the trenches of a high-growth startup and are dedicated to understanding customer problems and solving tough challenges together. Our people are proactive, conscientious, highly communicative, collaborative, and impactful; we place the team ahead of ourselves and strive to excel in cross-functional work to move the company forward.
Rallyware has recently acquired Myagi, a fully remote SaaS business on a mission to connect the world’s leading brands (Nike, Gibson, Casio, and Giant) with third-party sellers and their retail employers responsible for selling their products to consumers. Myagi enables these brands to build advocacy, collect valuable feedback, and ultimately drive sell-through and improve the customer experience.
We are looking for a Product Designer who views design as a strategic tool for solving complex business problems. You are an architect of experiences – someone who excels at transforming ambiguous user needs into structured, scalable, and high-performing product solutions.
Responsibilities
- Strategic discovery: Synthesize requirements from stakeholders into comprehensive user flows, sitemaps, and conceptual frameworks. You excel at defining the "why" and "how" before moving to execution.
- Operational excellence: Own your delivery pipeline. You provide reliable estimations, manage project scope effectively, and proactively identify potential logic or technical blockers early in the lifecycle.
- Validation and metrics: Partner with the Head of Product Experience to analyze product metrics and user feedback. You iterate on designs based on data-driven insights to improve adoption and retention.
- Rapid and adaptive prototyping: Build prototypes at various levels of fidelity to validate experience assumptions, technical constraints, and business logic with Engineering and Product teams.
- Design system governance: Contribute to the technical integrity of our Figma design system. You ensure that components are structured, tokenized, and documented for seamless, high-speed engineering handoff.
- Documentation and rationale: Maintain rigorous standards for design traceability. You can clearly articulate and justify design decisions based on cognitive psychology, user research, and business goals.
- Cross-functional leadership: Work as a peer to Engineering and Product Managers, ensuring that the experience intent is preserved through the realities of technical implementation.
- 3+ years of experience in Product Design or Systems Design, ideally within a SaaS or agile product environment.
- High-level problem solving: A portfolio that demonstrates your ability to navigate ambiguity – showing how you move from a vague problem statement to a sophisticated, functional solution.
- Systems fluency: Deep experience working with (or building) scalable Design Systems. You understand the long-term impact of architectural design choices.
- User and market research: Proficiency in conducting competitive audits and user testing, and the ability to translate those findings into improved product flows.
- Technical literacy: A strong understanding of web and mobile platform constraints (iOS/Android). You design with an awareness of the "cost" of implementation.
- Professional tooling: Mastery of Figma; experience using Jira, Notion, or similar platforms for project tracking and documentation.
- Communication: Exceptional ability to present design logic to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, handling unstructured feedback with a solution-oriented mindset.
- Strategic and abstract: You are comfortable working with high-level concepts and non-structured feedback, translating them into concrete, actionable design strategies.
- Evidence-based: You hypothesize, test, and validate. You are driven by user metrics, behavioral data, and business objectives.
- Systems architect: You look beyond the immediate screen to understand how individual components impact the entire product ecosystem.
- Growth-oriented: You view professional feedback and peer reviews as essential tools for refining both your craft and your logic.
- People-oriented management without bureaucracy.
- Flexible hours.
- Friendly and engaging professional team.
