We’re growing our team and are pleased to share an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Specialist based at our Horsley Park office. The successful candidate will join our well-established Employee Relations team and report directly to the Employee Relations Manager.
In this role, you will work closely with nearly 5,000 employees across a wide range of industrial, employee relations, human resources, and sector-wide matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing advice and coaching to business leaders on industrial and employee relations matters, including policy development, grievance resolution and workforce planning
- Supporting complex Enterprise Agreement negotiations across our national operations
- Interpreting Enterprise Agreements and recommending appropriate actions on industrial and employment relations matters
- Conducting workplace investigations and delivering clear, well‑reasoned recommendations to leadership teams
- Reviewing, updating and developing ER/HR policies to ensure consistency and compliance
- Staying up to date with case law, policy changes, and legislative developments to maintain strong knowledge of the Australian IR/ER landscape
- Offering focused and proactive guidance to support positive relationships with unions, regulators and tribunals
- Actively partnering with colleagues and stakeholders on strategic reviews and projects aimed at modernising industrial arrangements, improving work practices, and enhancing overall workplace effectiveness
- Confidently engaging in robust, solutions focused discussions with stakeholders to navigate complex ER/IR issues and drive positive outcomes

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Employee Relations, Human Resource Management or a related discipline (essential)
- A solid working knowledge of the Fair Work Act and other relevant employment legislation
- Extensive experience in a similar ER/IR role within a large, complex and unionised organisation
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with unions and employee representatives
- Strong work ethic and the ability to thrive within a passionate, high-performing, fast-paced environment
- Highly effective stakeholder management skills
- A motivated, innovative self‑starter with a passionate, “Can Do” and “Right First Time” attitude
- Business planning capability supported by strong negotiation skills
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- High-level analytical and critical-thinking ability
- Proven capability in enterprise agreement interpretation
- Experience interacting with unions and managing robust, solutions-focused conversations
- Ability to conduct audits with accuracy and attention to detail
