Data Analyst
Montreal, QC
In this role, you will be responsible for coding, testing and delivering high quality deliverables, and should be willing to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross divisional project managers, technology product owners, and firm data office engineering teams to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables for the global regulatory program delivering data quality reporting on critical reporting
- Conducts a communication style that effectively “bridges the gaps” between policy, central tooling, program governance, and delivery.
- Work directly with development teams to educate them on intended outcomes and available data governance tools, data quality integration and JIRA familiarity on reporting, managing and issue tracking.
- Troubleshoot roadblocks encountered by development teams.
- Understand and familiarize Data Architecture & Management principles and well as the requirements of the BCBS 239 framework and will understand and familiarize with Firms’ Data Policy and responsibilities and commitments within the Application Development organization.
- Identify and mitigate risks, manage dependencies, and resolve issues proactively using the Agile framework
- Partner with Firmwide Data Office to enhance strategic tooling for Cataloging & Lineage.
- Willingness to work beyond these responsibilities for general assistance to the program.

Minimum Qualifications
BE/B Tech/MCA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Experience as a Business or Data Analyst with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively and propose ideas and concepts.
- Familiarity with data governance concepts of cataloging, ownership, lineage, and data quality
- Experience working with global teams in multiple locations ideally in the finance industry
- Express and influence complex ideas and deliverables in a simple way with clear benefits
- Is a structured, highly organized individual with the ability to self-manage, work with a level of ambiguity and has a pro-active approach
- Focus on fostering an inclusive environment that welcomes diverse perspectives
- Ability to understand technical solutions and apply them in similar situations; though not a coding position, the candidate needs to be able to work at an API and configuration level
