Our client, a leading organization in cybersecurity services, is seeking a SOC Analyst-Jr (Tier 1) to join their team. As a SOC Analyst-Jr (Tier 1), you will be part of the Security Operations Center supporting incident response and security monitoring teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: SOC Analyst-Jr (Tier 1)
Location: Chandler, AZ
Pay Range: 30.00 - 39.00 per hour
What's the Job?
- Monitoring and analyzing network traffic, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), security events, and logs
- Prioritizing and differentiating between potential intrusion attempts and false alarms
- Developing, maintaining, and following SOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Supporting daily and monthly situation reporting per shift
- Proactively reviewing large data sets for anomalous activity and creating detective content for monitoring devices
- Two (2) years’ experience in security and incident response handling
- Experience with cybersecurity operations, risk management, IDS, and SIEM tools
- Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH) or CompTIA CySA+ certification, with additional certifications from the DOD 8570 list within 6 months of hire
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Ability to work a shift schedule and multitask effectively under pressure
