Thales’ Airspace Mobility Solutions (AMS) division creates, develops and deploys air traffic management systems that are critical for safe aircraft movement. With products covering 40% of the world’s airspace, we enable the safe take-off and landing of 2 in 3 aircrafts globally.
Our Graduate Program focuses on developing early career talent to help us deliver tomorrows high-tech solutions. Over an 18-month development program you will engage in on-the-job learning, mentoring, a graduate project and structured training modules.
About The Role
- Located in Melbourne World Trade Centre (CBD) sites on Wurundjeri land
- Work as part of a team to deliver a first of its kind air traffic management project
- Help deliver software solutions or tools and support our software teams
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders throughout development lifecycle
- Collaborate, cross functionally with the various engineering disciplines within the business
- Design, document, implement and test software enhancements and changes
- Contribute to continuous process and technical improvements
- Recently degree qualified in Software Engineering or Computer Science
- You have experience in Java and want to put it to good use
- A true desire to work in a diverse team towards a common goal
- You are methodical, love solving complex problems and are not afraid to think things through before offering a solution
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal and presentation skills
A Defence security clearance is required for this role. Applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain baseline clearance.

In some cases, individuals who hold a current clearance from a foreign government may be eligible to have this clearance recognised by the Australian Government and be eligible for this role.
