You've built production systems, you know what good looks like, and you're tired of codebases where nobody owns quality. You want a role where your decisions actually matter — where you're setting technical direction, not just executing tickets.
That's what this is.
About AWSsome
AWSsome is a SaaS platform that helps ISVs succeed on AWS Marketplace — onboarding, product listings, co-sell deal registration, private offers. We integrate directly with AWS Marketplace APIs and ship features that impact our partners' revenue.
Small team. Real product. Paying customers.
The Role
You'll be the most senior engineer on a 5-person team, owning a product module end-to-end — schema to API to UI. You'll set the quality bar, mentor junior engineers, and have a direct line to product decisions.
This is not a pure IC role. You'll lead technically: own architecture decisions, run code reviews, and make the team better.
What You'll Own
→ A product module end-to-end (likely Deal Registration or Product Listings): new features, long-term health, architectural decisions
→ Engineering standards: code review culture, testing discipline, flagging problems before they become incidents
→ Active roadmap: Partner Central onboarding, HubSpot integration, Pathfinder activation engine
→ Targeted technical debt: refactoring Lambdas, introducing proper DI and test coverage
Must-Have
→ C# / .NET 6–8, ASP.NET Core: 4+ years
→ SQL Server + Entity Framework Core: migrations, multi-tenant contexts, query tuning
→ AWS: Lambda, SQS/SNS, S3, Elastic Beanstalk. Fluent, not expert.
→ ASP.NET MVC, Razor Views, jQuery: comfortable building server-rendered UI, not just APIs
→ Self-testing discipline — you test your own work before QA sees it
Strong Plus
→ AWS Marketplace APIs (Catalog, Partner Central, Metering/Entitlement)
→ Refactoring live codebases: breaking god-classes, proper separation of concerns
→ xUnit / NUnit, multi-tenant SaaS, event-driven patterns (SQS, SNS, DLQ)
Tech Stack
C# / .NET 8 · SQL Server · Entity Framework Core 8 · AWS (Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, Elastic Beanstalk) · ASP.NET MVC · Razor · jQuery · GitHub Actions · HubSpot · SendGrid
How We Work
→ You own the quality of what you ship: QA is a safety net, not a crutch
→ All work in Linear: no invisible effort
→ Structured sprints: story points, Gherkin AC, retrospectives
→ Small team, no layers: direct access to product decisions
Contract Details
Contractor role via Deel. Full-time hours, fully remote, async-first. You'll need some overlap with European timezone for standups and planning.
