Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Senior Backend Software Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js and NestJS to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building enterprise-grade applications, working with cloud-native technologies, and deploying containerized solutions on AWS.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Node.js and NestJS
- Build and support enterprise-scale applications and complex system integrations
- Develop, containerize, and deploy services using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm
- Manage and optimize AWS cloud infrastructure, deployments, and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and best practices
- Ensure high performance, scalability, security, and reliability of backend systems
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
- Contribute to code reviews, technical documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering
- Strong backend development experience with Node.js and NestJS
- Building and operating Kubernetes-based platforms (EKS preferred)
- Experience with IaC (Terraform) and GitOps ecosystems
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and Helm
- Solid experience deploying and managing applications on AWS
- Experience working on large-scale, enterprise applications
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and integrations
- Experience working in Agile development environments
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of security best practices and observability tools
- Exposure to event-driven or distributed systems
