Rollic has over 3.5 billion downloads across its diverse portfolio of games and, thanks to an intensive development process utilizing a massive test pipeline, has a steady cadence of globally hit titles such as Color Block Jam, Timeline Up, Crowd Express: Boarding Puzzle, Hole People, Knit Out, all of which have gained millions of downloads worldwide within a few months after their release.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 2-3+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go for backend service development.
• Experience with Python for data processing, scripting, or internal tooling.
• Familiarity with React for frontend interfaces or internal dashboards is a plus.
• Experience building and operating systems on AWS infrastructure.
• Working familiarity with Kubernetes and containerized environments.
• Strong knowledge of OLTP systems.
• Familiarity with OLAP / data warehouse systems (e.g., Snowflake).
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and high-availability architectures.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable backend services for live mobile games in collaboration with game developers, product managers, and data teams.
• Design, implement, and improve gameplay-related services including matchmaking, leaderboards, live events, in-game economy, and analytics integrations.
• Monitor, maintain, and optimize live game services to ensure high availability and performance.
• Improve existing systems, refactor legacy components, and resolve production issues across gameplay, networking, architecture, and data layers.
• Contribute to code reviews and uphold high engineering standards for clean, maintainable, and scalable code.
• Take ownership of features end-to-end, from design to deployment and post-release monitoring.
