We are currently looking for AI Developers / AI Architects (Full-Time Contractors) to support a global client on a long-term remote engagement.
This opportunity allows you to contribute to advanced Generative AI solutions while collaborating with international engineering teams in a remote-first environment.
Contract Duration: 12 Months (Renewable)
Contract Type: Full-Time Contractor
Location: Remote (Norway-based candidates preferred) with occasional visits to Oslo
The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining Large Language Model (LLM) powered systems, with a strong emphasis on Python development, cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), and scalable production architectures.
You will work across areas such as prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), LLM optimisation, backend integrations, and end-to-end delivery of GenAI solutions within production environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES• Design, develop, and integrate LLM-powered applications and services using Python.
• Contribute to prompt engineering, model fine-tuning, evaluation, and deployment of LLM systems (OpenAI, Hugging Face, or custom models).
• Build scalable backend architectures, APIs, and microservices that support GenAI workflows.
• Deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred) for AI/ML workloads, including model deployment and runtime services.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, engineers, and product stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable AI solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and performance tracking for AI systems, including latency, output quality, and model drift.
• Stay up to date with latest developments in AI/ML and LLM technologies, contributing improvements and innovation to the technical stack.
• Mentor junior engineers and help define best practices for AI development, architecture, and code quality.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR 🤩• 6+ years of experience in software engineering, with Python as a primary programming language.
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on experience working with Generative AI or LLM-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of machine learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Hugging Face.
• Solid understanding of backend architecture, APIs, and microservice-based systems.
• Practical experience working with LLMs, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning.
• Experience building and operating cloud-native AI services, preferably within AWS environments.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and comfort working within remote or distributed teams.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Candidates should ideally be based in Norway or able to operate as an EU/EEA contractor.
NICE TO HAVE• Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Experience with agentic AI workflows or multi-agent systems.
• Background delivering production-scale AI or ML platforms.
