We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist specialising in Generative AI to join a market-leading organisation on a long-term freelance contract.

In this role, you will help develop AI-powered solutions that address real business challenges, ranging from intelligent assistants to automation and advanced data-driven optimisation systems.

Daily Rate: Negotiable depending on experience

Location: Hybrid Remote with occasional travel to Oslo

You will work with both generative and predictive AI techniques, building scalable AI systems and delivering insights that drive meaningful business outcomes.

• Contribute to innovative Generative AI initiatives across multiple areas of the organisation.

• Develop AI-driven solutions addressing real-world business problems, including automation tools and intelligent assistants.

• Apply a combination of Generative AI techniques, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning.

• Work with technologies such as speech-to-text systems, agentic AI applications, image generation, computer vision, and NLP.

• Use statistical modelling and machine learning techniques alongside modern GenAI tools.

• Build and deploy scalable AI applications using Python and modern data science frameworks.

• Manage projects across the full lifecycle, from data exploration and modelling to deployment and performance monitoring.

• Communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to senior stakeholders and decision-makers.

• Leverage large-scale and diverse datasets to generate measurable value for the organisation.

• Work within an Agile team environment focused on collaboration, transparency, and rapid delivery.

• 7+ years of experience working as a Data Scientist or within advanced AI roles.

• Strong practical experience using Python within applied data science or machine learning projects.

• Solid understanding of Generative AI techniques, including prompt engineering, RAG pipelines, and model fine-tuning.

• Demonstrated experience delivering AI or machine learning systems in production environments.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt quickly to new AI frameworks and technologies.

• Excellent communication skills and experience translating complex technical insights into business value.

• Experience collaborating within cross-functional teams, often taking ownership of technical initiatives.

• Experience working with LLM-based applications or modern GenAI frameworks.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Experience building scalable ML pipelines or production-grade AI systems.

• Exposure to agentic AI workflows, conversational AI, or multimodal AI applications.
