About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated Game Designer Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals at the beginning of their game design careers to gain hands-on experience in a professional environment. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, analysts, artists, and developers to contribute to the development and refinement of our online game offerings. Your primary responsibilities will involve participating in core gameplay improvements, preparing detailed design documentation, and assisting with LiveOps activities such as planning events and content updates. You will analyze player behavior to identify opportunities for enhancement, study industry trends and competitor games, and provide valuable insights to support product growth. This position provides a comprehensive understanding of the game design process within a successful F2P (free-to-play) environment and offers a platform to develop your skills in a collaborative setting.

Qualifications
- Basic understanding of game design principles and mechanics
- Familiarity with Unity or similar scripting/logic tools (basic knowledge preferred)
- Experience with design tools such as Figma, Miro, Notion, and Google Sheets
- Knowledge of product metrics, funnels, and game economy fundamentals
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Creative mindset with a passion for gaming and user experience
- Previous portfolio work such as prototypes, game modes, levels, or game jam projects is advantageous
- Basic understanding of UX/UI design principles
- Ability to analyze and interpret player data to inform design decisions
- Participate in the core gameplay improvement processes, including game cycles, progression systems, and onboarding experiences
- Prepare comprehensive design documentation such as PRDs, feature descriptions, balance tables, and game economy notes
- Develop and refine small features, events, and limited-time modes, including daily missions, boosters, offers, and special events
- Assist in LiveOps planning, content updates, and event setup, providing quality assurance support
- Analyze player behavior metrics such as funnels, retention, engagement, and monetization, and propose actionable improvements
- Conduct industry research by studying ZiMAD’s and competitors’ games, documenting insights and strategic conclusions
- Collaborate effectively with product managers, analysts, QA teams, artists, and developers during product releases and updates
- Contribute to the development of clear, precise, and actionable design specifications
- Gain understanding of data-driven design decisions in free-to-play projects
- Hands-on experience with hypotheses testing and A/B testing methodologies
- Exposure to balancing game mechanics, economy systems, rewards, difficulty levels, and UX/UI design
