Engineer designs, installs, and optimizes wireless network infrastructure and ensure seamless cellular/Wi-Fi coverage. They conduct site surveys, oversee technical installation, commission equipment, and troubleshoot performance issues
Key Responsibilities:
- Design & Survey: Conducting indoor site surveys, creating, and validating RF coverage designs using simulation tools.
- Implementation & Installation: Supervising contractors during the installation of antennas, coaxial cables, fiber optics, splitters, couplers, and Remote Radio Units (RRUs).
- Testing & Optimization: Optimization of IBS/DAS parameters, antennas, and signal quality (KPIs) to meet client SLAs.
- Project Management: Managing BOQ (Bill of Materials), project timelines, and coordinating with stakeholders (operators, building management).
- Commissioning: Troubleshooting and optimizing live systems to resolve coverage, interference, or capacity issues.
- Implementation Support: Coordinating with installation teams for antenna placement, cabling, and system commissioning
- Design & Survey: Conducting indoor site surveys, creating, and validating RF coverage designs using simulation tools.
- Data Analysis: Using post-processing tools to analyze walk test data and generate performance reports.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
- Experience: 5+ years in IBS/RF optimization
- Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in RF principles, GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G technologies, and DAS architecture.
- Tools: Hands-on experience with Experience with iBwave Design, TEMS Pocket/Investigation, Actix, or similar RF tools.
