About Position:

We are seeking a skilled Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Golang and TypeScript/Node.js to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design, build, and maintain robust backend services that power our core platform. You will play a key part in modernizing our infrastructure by migrating existing services from EC2 to containerized microservices running on EKS, ensuring scalable, reliable, and secure deployments.

What You'll Do:

• Design, build, and maintain backend services using Golang and TypeScript/Node.js, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.
• Migrate existing services from EC2 to containerized deployments on EKS, including Dockerizing applications and configuring Kubernetes (or Helm) resources.
• Develop and maintain Dockerfiles, Kubernetes manifests, Helm charts, and service configuration to support smooth deployments across environments.
• Write unit and integration tests, support validation efforts in lab and staging environments, and ensure high-quality, stable releases.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements using Harness, helping automate builds, tests, deployments, and rollbacks.
• Collaborate within an Agile SCRUM team, participate in Jira-based sprint activities, and engage in peer code reviews through PRs.
• Work cross-functionally with QA, DevOps, and product teams to deliver features end‑to‑end and ensure operational readiness.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 3+ years of backend engineering experience, with a strong foundation in building scalable, performant backend systems.
• Hands-on proficiency in Golang (2+ years) and TypeScript/Node.js (2+ years), with the ability to write clean, maintainable, and well‑structured code.
• Deep understanding of RESTful API design and experience integrating with databases and backend services.
• Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes, preferably running workloads on EKS, including creating and optimizing Dockerfiles and K8s manifests or Helm charts.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, ideally with Harness or similar tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
• Strong testing discipline, including writing unit tests, integration tests, and validating services across lab/staging environments.
• Proficient in cloud environments, preferably AWS, and familiar with cloud-native development and deployment patterns.
• Understanding of observability practices, including logs, metrics, and distributed tracing, as well as experience supporting production rollouts and rollbacks.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively in an agile SCRUM environment and contribute to technical discussions and code reviews
