James Adams is currently looking for an experienced C# Developer. This is a 6 month contract inside IR35 paying £350 per day. This is working 2 days onsite in East Midlands.

Role Overview

We are looking for a talented developer to work across the full lifecycle of enterprise software solutions that have a direct impact on business operations. You will be involved from gathering requirements to designing, building, testing, and supporting critical applications.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Design

• Gather, analyse, and document requirements in a structured way.
• Design, develop, and maintain key applications and software components following secure and standardised development lifecycles.
• Test and troubleshoot software to ensure systems are stable and reliable.
• Maintain clear documentation for all developments.
• Provide accurate estimates for development efforts and project timelines.
• Follow established change management procedures to ensure safe updates.

Service Management & Administration

• Maintain and administer applications to meet operational needs.
• Deliver technical support, identify root causes, and implement improvements to increase service reliability.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to address issues and provide feedback on requests.
• Plan and execute complex system changes, assessing potential risks to infrastructure.

Skills and Experience

Essential

• Strong experience programming in C#.
• Practical experience building web applications with Razor or Blazor frameworks.
• Solid understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript and CSS.
• Knowledge of Azure DevOps workflows and practices.
• Good overall understanding of IT systems, software architecture, and development processes.

Desirable

• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Graph API integration.
• Hands-on experience with PowerApps and creating business applications.
• Knowledge of data visualisation using Power BI.
• Exposure to Microsoft reporting and ETL tools, such as SSRS and SSIS.
