Company Background

Join one of Australia's fastest growing Fintech Scale Ups that is redefining how businesses handle complex financial and transactional workflows. Operating as a cloud-native SaaS leader, this organisation is currently in a phase of significant expansion, building out sophisticated platform capabilities to support some of the country’s largest commercial entities.

About The Role

In this pivotal position, you will take ownership of the foundational SaaS engine that enables seamless payments and digital onboarding. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will guide a dedicated engineering pod to define and ship high-impact features that ensure the platform remains robust, secure, and commercially competitive. This is a systems-thinking role where you will bridge the gap between complex technical architecture and commercial product strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the long-term roadmap for the core platform, ensuring it supports rapid commercial growth and operational excellence.
  • Lead the product direction for essential services, including subscription management, automated billing flows, and payment gateway integrations.
  • Establish best-in-class standards for third-party API connections, enabling a scalable ecosystem of partners and service providers.
  • Partner with senior technical leadership to ensure the platform’s architecture remains extensible and ready for high-volume traffic.
  • Oversee the end-to-end delivery lifecycle, from shaping detailed user stories with your Business Analyst to managing sprint prioritisation and release cycles.
  • Maintain a clear focus on security and regulatory alignment, ensuring all financial workflows meet stringent audit and privacy requirements.

About You

  • Extensive experience as a Product Manager within a B2B SaaS or fintech environment, ideally with exposure to high-growth scale-ups.
  • Proven track record managing complex integrations and subscription billing systems
  • Deep understanding of API-driven ecosystems and how to build reusable patterns for external partners.
  • A collaborative leader who thrives in agile environments and can effectively communicate trade-offs to both engineers and executive stakeholders.
  • Structured thinker with the ability to translate a broad vision into a sequenced, deliverable backlog.

Company Culture

You will be part of a team that values delivery discipline, technical curiosity, and pragmatic problem-solving. The environment is fast-paced but supportive, offering the autonomy to shape a critical piece of technology while working alongside some of the best engineering talent in Sydney. The company promotes a flexible, hybrid working model that balances focused remote work with 3 office days in the Sydney CBD.
