The Cyber Security Analyst

Information Security is a key area to the business and an ongoing concern in the banking industry. This role is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and defining objectives in supporting Beyond Bank’s capabilities in cyber operations, including incident response, threat hunting, and cyber automation in line with prudential standards and selected cyber security frameworks such as NIST and Essential Eight.

The role focuses on both technical and business elements of cyber incident response and system monitoring, threat hunting and analysis, security configuration and secure design of systems.

Some of your key duties will be to:

• Management and continuous improvement of online security platforms
• Review and respond to information security alerts and performing security event analysis. Automate responses to alerts to continuously improve event analysis efficiency
• Provide cyber security advice to stakeholders in accordance with our IT Security Management standards e.g. secure-by-design advice to product owners
• Perform security and compliance assessments on new and existing systems, processes, technology
• Assist cyber risk and governance with information security assessments and development of business solutions to manage information security risk
• Develop and provide internal and external Security Awareness initiatives including phishing campaigns, staff training, and content creation
  
  

A little about you & your experience:

• Understanding of Information Security principles, best practice standards and guidelines
• Knowledge of security principles and technologies relating to private and public cloud, banking systems, online & mobile banking
• Strong knowledge of common cyber security threats and trends
• A good understanding of Windows operating systems, corporate network environments & infrastructure
• Familiar with network and application security concepts
• Ability to work both under direction and autonomously while maintaining high degree of work and excellent peer relationships
