You’ll be the person who turns “this would be great for customers” into “it’s live, it’s reliable, and we can iterate fast.” This role is product-first. You work closely with Product, Design, and QA, and you help the team make strong technical decisions that support shipping, learning, and scaling.

Here’s what you’ll take ownership of in this role:

• Lead technical execution for a product area across discovery, delivery, and iteration.
• Translate product requirements into scalable, maintainable implementations.
• Drive engineering standards around reviews, testing strategy, performance, security, and reliability.
• Mentor engineers through feedback, pairing, and practical guidance.
• Align cross-functionally on dependencies, APIs, and release planning.
• Reduce technical debt continuously so the platform stays easy to change.

Requirements

Must-have

• Several years of professional software engineering experience
• Several years in a technical leadership role
• Strong experience with Kotlin, Typescript, SQL, and Spring Boot in a product or SaaS environment.
• Strong software architecture and system design experience, with the ability to design scalable, reliable SaaS systems.
• Ability to identify simple, effective solutions to complex technical problems
• Experience building and maintaining REST APIs and working across system boundaries.
• Strong engineering fundamentals such as clean code, reviews, testing, debugging, and performance mindset.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to align technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Professional fluency in English, both written and spoken

Nice to have

• Cloud and ops experience such as Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloudflare.
• Search and data tooling like Elasticsearch or Apache Solr.
• Experience with messaging and event-streaming systems (e.g., Apache Kafka or similar)
• Experience building systems using serverless technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda or similar).
• General frontend development knowledge
